Make a Hummingbird Feeder

Make a batch of hummingbird nectar to feed your tiny feathered friends. Hummingbirds love nectar and these plans add a tasty and nutritious snack bar that will keep them fed and your family entertained.

Hummingbirds will take sugar water from artificial feeders. These feeders allow you to observe and enjoy hummingbirds up close while providing the birds with a reliable source of energy, especially when flower blossoms are less abundant.

Hummingbird Nectar Recipe

1 part white granulated sugar
4 parts water

Slowly add sugar to boiling water. Boil for a few minutes. Let cool and keep the remander of the nectar in the refrigerator.
